Keyword digger: How to Use and Review On a text document write a list of keywords, you would like your website to do well for in the search engines.

Ok so you have a list of say 10 keywords, it's harder than you think huh.

This little programme simply run's off your desktop, so there's no need to install it.

Ok, now open Keyword digger, and put each keyword one at a time, click go, and you will get a list of searches people have made for that word, and other related keywords or keyphases in the last month, on the overture search engine, times the results by about ten, and you'll have an idea of how many searches in google for that particular keyphrase.

When it's done searching, you can click a button that loads the keywords to your clipboard, and paste them onto a text pad, then simply go through the list and delete the SEO key phrases that aren't relevant to your website. You will probably get a few more keyword ideas from each list.

Then if you open your Free SEO Monitor for Google and use it as discribed on the page in the link at the bottom of the page, you can add these new words to the programme, and set it at 20 returns, so you can quickly find out, who is in the leading positions now, and see what competition you are up against. Simply right click on the site rated #10, click open url, check their page rank, then use the Ctrl+F find box, to see how many times they have used that keyword/phrase on their webpage for their SEO.

By seeing what your competion is, you can see which words to concentrate on using for your website. It's better to rank well for some less used keywords or keyphrases, than spend thousands of hours, trying to get the best ranking for the most popular key phrase for your particular business.

Using the Free Monitor for Google to do this just saves you time, doing all the various keyphrase searches.
